Disposable Batteries
Unscrew the battery housing from the broadhead. Locate the hole in the back of the battery housing and Insert the end of a paper-clip or other small diameter device to push the dispos-able battery pack out of the battery housing. Push the new battery pack into the battery housing negative (-) side down. Locate and remove the protective film on the positive (+) side of the new battery pack. Reassemble your broadhead.
Rechargeable Batteries
Unscrew the battery housing from the broadhead and peal the protective film (black) off of the battery pack. The battery packs come only partially charged from the factory. If the light on the charger does not come on initially out of the package, the battery has a partial charge and is ready to use. To recharge, plug in the 12V car charger; the light will come on while charging and turn off when fully charged. Insert the 12 Volt Charger into a 12 volt vehicle charging socket. The LED will stay on while charging. When fully charged, the LED will turn off. Reassemble your broadhead.
To Attach the Blades
- Make sure that the metal washer between the battery housing and the broadhead body is cen-tered and tight.
- Screw the Hollow Point Tip loosely onto the broadhead body or loosen it if it is already installed.
- Slide the blades into the blade slots and lock the back of the blades into the metal washer.
- After all three blades are locked into the metal washer, tighten the tip to secure the blades. Do NOT over tighten the tip as this may cause the tip of the blade to break. It should be firm, but not too tight.
Note: Handle blades with extreme caution. Spot-On® blades are extremely sharp. Failure to use this product as directed may result in serious injury.
Indexing the Arrow
To properly index the arrow, ensure that the Spot-On logo on the broadhead is in the downward position pointing to the bow riser & magnet and that the cock fletch on the arrow is in the upright position.
Arrow Length
It is very important to have the large set screw positioned directly above the magnet on your bow riser (see indexing your arrow above). This may require you to cut down the length of your arrows. If required: it is a good idea to index the broadhead and glue in insert at the same time.
Sighting in the Laser
Pull the arrow back to full draw and observe the laser dot in relation to your 30 yard sight pin. If the laser dot does not match your 30 yard pin on the target; relax from full draw and adjust the laser beam up or down with the large set screw (clockwise will move the laser beam down). If you need to adjust left/right, use the Allen wrench to move the small set screw. Turn the set screw to the right (clockwise) to move the dot to the right.
Adjustments are very sensitive so only move the set screw a very slight increment.
